Mario Malerba
Prof. Mario Malerba holds the position of Associate Professor of Respiratory Diseases at the Department of Translational Medicine, University of Eastern Piedmont, and directs the Complex Pneumology Unit at Vercelli’s Sant’ Andrea Hospital. He holds specialty degrees in Internal Medicine, Cardiology, and Respiratory Diseases, and is nationally accredited for full professorship. In addition to leading courses in respiratory physiopathology and integrated medical pathology, Prof. Malerba has an impressive research profile with 305 publications, including 130 articles indexed on PubMed, and has presented more than 150 scientific communications at national and international conferences. He is currently developing pneumonews.it, an online platform dedicated to providing updates and insights on pulmonary diseases.

Tullio Genova
Tullio Genova, PhD is an Associate Professor of Physiology at the University of Torino, with over 10 years of research experience in ellular and molecular mechanisms of vascularization and tissue remodeling. His work focuses on advanced in vitro models, 3D bioprinting, calcium signaling, and the study of therapeutic compounds in cardiovascular and metabolic diseases. He has also led projects on biomaterials and translational research, contributing to the preclinical development of innovative therapeutic strategies.

Elisabeth Bendstrup
Elisabeth Bendstrup is an Associate Professor at the Department of Respiratory Diseases and Allergy at Aarhus University Hospital and Head of the Center for Interstitial Lung Diseases, a tertiary referral center. She plays a leading role in the Danish Center of Sarcoidosis. She became a specialist in Internal Medicine in 2004 and in Respiratory Medicine in 2006. She has more than 15 years of research experience focusing on interstitial and rare lung diseases. Her main research interests include idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, connective tissue disease–related ILD, epidemiology, comorbidities, quality of life, frailty, and palliative treatment of breathlessness. Additional interests include severe emphysema and endobronchial valve treatment, as well as severe respiratory infections.
